ECU Programming
Background
The majority of engine control units for vehicles 1996 and newer (OBDII) are subject to Engine Control Module reprogramming in order to function properly in your vehicle. Most units before 1996 (OBDI) are plug and play. It is important that the VIN and mileage match your car exactly when replacing the car ECU/ECM.
